Volunteer & Donor Comments

“A comment about volunteering; if anyone is vacillating between yes or no, just do it! Because this place is awesome! There are so many great programs through the Denver Rescue Mission, their methods and their results, the caring people who work here with those affected by this or that – is just amazing. I don’t know of any better place you could spend a break or a time that you have free to reconnect both with people that have issues you many not, and with God – and what he does through people here.” -Patrick from Vanderbilt University

"I will never view poverty as someone else's problem again.. My cup runs over!"-Patricia

"The Rescue Mission has been a place for me to reflect on my own life in a way that has been invaluable. I am proud to say that next year will be my fourteenth year working monthly there. I have learned a great deal from the men and women I have met there over the years, lessons that I will keep with me for a lifetime!"-Gaku

"....There I was, a Presbyterian Republican, helping a couple of Jewish Democrats serve ham to the homeless on Christmas eve....I submit to you, if we could put aside our differences....it is still very possible for all of us....to work together constructively, work together amicably, and accomplish good things for the people of Colorado. So let's get busy and do it!" -Senate President, Jon Andrews, Session Opening Day 1/7/04 remarks
