| Volunteers |
| Sheryl McCall |
Sheryl McCall is a faithful volunteer at Champa House. She mentors a number of the residents and comes by weekly to hang out with the residents, take them places they need to go, watch and play with their kids, and help in any possible way. She really takes time to care for the women and children at Champa House. Sheryl is one of the consistent “staples” of Champa House, and we are so thankful for her many volunteer hours. |
Orchard Road Christian Center Celebrate Recovery Group |
A group from Orchard Road Christian Center has been faithfully coming to the DRML facility for the past 13 weeks on Saturday afternoons to facilitate a Celebrate Recovery group for Program Candidates there. They have also been coming every Tuesday night to be “Active Listeners,” walking around the chapel between 6 and 7 pm in order to simply listen to the stories of the people there. They have truly been a blessing to those whose lives they have touched during these visits. |

| Grants |
| Colorado Garden Show |
The Denver Rescue Mission is very grateful to the Colorado Garden Show for their continued support over the years. It is only because of their generous gifts that Harvest Farm has been able to add many educational elements to its operations.
Funds raised from The Colorado Fall Home Show make gifts to the Mission possible. This year’s event will be held September 10-12 at the Colorado Convention Center. It is a home remodeling show very similar to the Colorado Garden & Home Show except it does not have the gardens. | Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation
|
This generous grant from the Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation will help support the Transitional Housing Program at The Crossing that provides homeless working families and individuals with case management, employment readiness, financial and life-skills workshops, and a youth program consisting of afterschool care, mentors, and tutors for the children. The goal of the THP is to help Crossing residents find permanent housing, and assists with the first month’s rent and security deposit.
We were also blessed with a $2,000 grant from The Denver Foundation to be used for the Mission’s programs. This grant was made possible by The Rollie R. Kelley Family Foundation.

Nationwide Insurance Foundation |
The Nationwide Insurance Foundation is an independent corporation funded by Nationwide Companies to help positively impact the quality of life in communities where their customers, employees, agents and their families live and work.
The Denver Rescue Mission would like to thank The Nationwide Insurance Foundation for their generous contribution towards our Transitional Housing Program. The Transitional Housing Program was designed for the unique needs of families transitioning to self-sufficiency. It provides case management, employment readiness, and financial and life-skills workshops.
It is with the help of those in our community, like Nationwide Insurance Foundation, that we are able to continue meeting the needs of families through our Transitional Housing Program. |
