| We are always in need of volunteers willing to conduct food drives. With the opening of our new facility, The Crossing, we are using up our food supplies quicker than ever. We want to bless the needy and low-income of Denver with meals and food boxes, but we need your help to make it happen. If you are interested in conducting a food drive, please e-mail Lisette to obtain information.
Partnership Needs
We need organizations, companies, churches, social groups, etc. to assist us as we help the homeless and needy.

Colorado Garden & Home Show
|
Denver Rescue Mission thanks Colorado Garden & Home Show for awarding a grant for native landscaping at Harvest Farm. Harvest Farm, located in Wellington, CO, offers 72 residents a quiet, peaceful environment away from the city's temptations, as well as the opportunities to overcome addictions and to change their lives.
Colorado Garden & Home Show’s generous grant will beautify the Harvest Farm property, provide work therapy experience for the residents who will care for the native landscape, and add an additional educational element for the 20,000+ visitors who visit Harvest Farm annually. Visitors come to the Farm to support the men striving towards self-sufficiency, and also to learn how working farms operate, how their food grows, and how farm animals are cared for. Now, thanks to Colorado Garden & Home Show, they’ll also be able to learn about native Colorado plants and landscapes!
Colorado Garden & Home Show, a nonprofit organization, provides many grants and scholarships statewide. Thank you so much, Colorado Garden & Home Show, for making this important project possible!

On Saturday, May 3rd, 71 volunteers from Comcast helped out immensely at The Crossing! From 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the amazing, hardworking group dug up 40 tons of landscape rock, and replaced it with landscape cloth and mulch. Volunteers unloaded every single can, box and bin from our food trailer, and took it to the food pantry! And finally, the volunteers prepared and served lunch to all the New Life Program and STAR residents at The Crossing. After it was all finished, they cleaned and scrubbed down the kitchen. What an incredible day!
Denver Rescue Mission wants to thank Doug Schoelzel, President of KD Trucking, who generously donated his time and resources to load the rock , and Dave Fisk from Genesis Landscapes for donating use of a Bobcat. And special thanks to Dave Barnes and the entire Comcast crew for their remarkable service on behalf of the people and families turning their lives around at The Crossing!

The tower at The Crossing houses male New Life Program residents and includes classroom space for the Mission’s Literacy, Education and Career programs. When a hailstorm damaged the outside of the Tower last year, Mission volunteer Gary Duke of Guaranty Bank thought he knew someone who could help repair it.
Gary referred Mike Johnston, owner of the commercial painting company Americoat, to the Denver Rescue Mission. Mike Johnston was more than willing to help. His generous donation to the Mission included paint, lifts and all labor needed to repair the Tower.
Thank you, Americoat, for your generosity and hard work benefiting our residents striving to turn their lives around!
