During the year, the Denver Rescue Mission provides
shelter, food, clothing, education, Christian teaching, and work discipline
to meet individuals at their physical and spiritual points of need.
Your donation of $27.60 will feed 15 homeless people and offer the opportunity
for rehabilitation and education to those seeking to change their lives.
Facilities
The Crossing is a residential
living facility offering the New Life rehabilitation program for men;
transitional housing for program graduates and homeless families; and
housing for interns and visitors.
Champa House is a safe, loving
home offering long-term help toward self-sufficiency to single mothers
and their children. Amenities include 9 apartments,
on-site childcare,
common
living
area,
long-term rehabilitation program, and educational opportunities.
Harvest Farm is a rural rehabilitation
facility for men, located in Wellington, Colorado. 72 men reside on the
200-acre working farm, which features a comprehensive long-term rehabilitation
program including on-site education and work training. The Farm also
offers Client Services and a summer camp for youth.
Lawrence Street, our flagship
facility, is a men's shelter with 200 overnight beds, and an outreach
location offering meals, clothing, free health care, and Client Services.
The Ministry Outreach Center (MOC)
receives, warehouses, and distributes donated goods, provides Client
Services, and is the administrative home to DRM staff.
Programs
The five-phase New Life Program,
lasting from 12 to 27 months is offered at The Crossing, Champa House
and Harvest Farm. Participants pursue career goals, spiritual and personal
growth, and educational objectives. On-site Literacy
and Education Centers (LEC) "educate people for life" with
academic education, vocational studies, and life skill courses such as
anger management and personal finance.
Family Services, provides
permanent housing, transitional housing, and mentoring for homeless,
working families, seniors, and refugee families. |
